Abstract
The curriculum is used as a reference and guideline for the implementation of education to develop
various educational domains (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor) at all levels and pathways of education,
especially in the school education path. All of these components are achieved through curriculum development
with a pedagogical and psychological foundation to produce competent Human Resources (HR). The
Curriculum of 2013 development guidelines state that local content curriculum can be taught in an integrated
manner with the Arts, Culture, and Crafts subjects or taught separately if the region feels the need to separate it.
Based on these guidelines, it can be concluded that the Minangkabau Natural Culture subject should be given
its own space as a stand-alone local content subject.
