Abstract
The Spectrum of Islamic Political Law and the dynamicization of Islamic Political Thought in Indonesia.
This paper describes some spectrums of various Islamic political thought. Three spectra growing about the
relationship between Islam and the state in the perspective of political jurisprudance consist of (1) an integral
style, (2) the sect of which argues that Islam is only a religion, that has no relalionship to the state; and (3) the
sect states that in Islam there is no state system, but there are sets of ethical values and principles for statehood.
In addition , there are also two other major trends. For the Islamic Liberal, state of affairs is merely for human.
There is no regulation or obligation of Islamic teachings specifically on the government form. Besides, moderate
Islamists Literal stated that while established of Medina had the first written constitution in the world (the
Medina charter), the Prophet Muhammad acted as a head of the state, raised some state officials, and also
applied Islamic law for people.
